CPS and the CTU have been bargaining over safety and health protocols, ventilation, contact tracing, testing, staff accommodations for people who don’t want to return, safety committees, revised closing metrics and vaccinations, Lightfoot said. But the union has refused to put in writing even areas where they have some agreement and didn’t meet a Friday night deadline, the mayor said.
