Daywatch special edition: Weekend snow blankets Chicago area, 10 years since ‘Snowmageddon’ and how to stay safe while shoveling

The weather service said portions of the area, including the city, may already have between 7 and 11 inches of snow from the storm’s first push Saturday, when snow was coming down at a rapid clip. Meteorologists said the intensity of the storm started to wind down but another 2 to 4 inches of snow was possible throughout the day Sunday.
